Proudly Supporting: Humanitas

Just like everyone else, we have often seen the images on TV or the flyers being handed out in the Town asking for 'just £2 to make a difference'. We all have good intentions but fail to make good on them, not by idleness or ignorance but more simply, life gets in the way!

This year however, we taken a step in the right direction by supporting not only an honest and worthy charity but a local shop too!

Unlike many faceless charities out there, Humanitas is a charity built from personal experience. Founder Sarah Wade spent years on the ground trying to make a difference in Romania working to create safe, healthy environments for abandoned children.

Her endeavours have since expanded out to other desperate children in Southern Ghana with a Primary School and further education support helping to break the cycle of poverty. Read more about her story here http://www.humanitascharity.org/about/our-story/

In line with the Humanitas mission statement:
We believe every human is entitled to health care, an education and a family. We strive to provide these three key rights.

Humanitas is tirelessly active supporting the Syrian Refugee Crisis, 'providing urgent medical care, general health services and emotional support to people who are in great need. People who have lost their homes, members of their family, their hope and their future.'

'Humanitas Charity aims to invest as much into its projects as possible and our average breakdown for every pound donated is currently: 75.68p charitable projects, 21.91p fundraising and 2.41p admin'. Billy Moore, Fundraising Manager, Humanitas.

We will be actively fund raising throughout the year, from Euro 2016 sweepstakes in the office to getting involved with the Humanitas events and more. We will be posting news of any events we are involved in below with details of how you can sponsor us (where applicable)!

If you would like to get involved yourself or donate head over to http://www.humanitascharity.org/ now.

Tough Mudder Half Midlands

Saturday 13th May 2017

We've bitten the bullet and signed up to run the gruelling Tough Mudder course to raise much needed money in aid of Humanitas!

Please visit our Just Giving page https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/idnet-humanitas
to donate whatever you can in sponsorship and help us smash through our £500 target.

Our Team (Brian, Nick and Miriam) are already training hard to make sure they complete the course and earn every penny.

Stay tuned to our Twitter feed where we will be posting updates of our training efforts leading up to the day.

In addition to the Twitter commentary we aim to post we will also have a GoPro with us every step of the way and will broadcast the footage for you to watch all the muddy mayhem shortly after the day!
