Announcing our Charity of the year: The Honeypot Children’s Charity
Did you realise, somewhere near you, there is a child not out playing with friends or getting ready for a summer holiday. They are not at the swimming pool or the park… not being a kid.
Why? Because they are cooking, cleaning, shopping, helping their less-abled family member dress, bathe, eat... For so many children this is the reality of childhood.
"Since 1996, the Honeypot Children’s Charity have been working to enhance the lives of young carers and vulnerable children aged 5-12 by providing regular respite breaks at one of their two Honeypot Houses, and on-going outreach support through the Honeypot Playbus, which visits children in their local communities up to three times a year.
Many of the children Honeypot support are young carers, looking after a chronically ill or physically disabled relative, taking on adult responsibility on a daily basis. Honeypot makes sure these children have a break from demanding and stressful responsibilities at home and provide a safe, nurturing environment where children at risk can develop to their full potential.

Throughout the year we will be raising funds to help The Honeypot Children’s Charity to continue providing and enhance this invaluable support to the little heroes stepping up where adults couldn't.
To kick things off Brian and Miriam have just signed up for the X-Runner 10k, 60 obstacle run on Saturday 24th March 2018!
This is sure to be one hell of a tough challenge for us being double the distance we have previously attempted.
Thank you so much for your support and generosity! If you have a fundraising suggestion for the Team get in touch, firstname.lastname@example.org
